Adele’s long-awaited new album 25 will be released next month and, in anticipation of that, the British singer has just released the video for ‘Hello‘, the first single from the album.

Adele’s ‘Hello’ video was filmed just outside Montreal, in some of Canada’s stunningly beautiful countryside, and it shows Adele arriving home after a long absence, only to realize she feels terrible for breaking her former lover’s heart. So she calls him to say ‘Hello’ and ‘Sorry’.

And as Adele herself says about 25, it’s completely different than her last album 21, released in 2011.

“My last record was a break up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make up record,” Adele says. “I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.”

Which, of course, doesn’t mean we’re not going to get the romantic songs Adele is known for. Just maybe, this time, a little less heartache.

There are 11 tracks on Adele’s 25, and ‘Hello‘ is the first track. It is available for pre-order now, with a November 20th release date.

Meanwhile, watch the video for ‘Hello‘ below. It’s lovely.
