Amon Tobin’s ‘Displaced‘ featured on ‘Preacher

Brazilian composer, musician and electronic music producer Amon Tobin’s ‘Displaced‘ was featured on the latest episode of the TV series ‘Preacher‘ this week — Season 2, Episode 12, “On Your Knees“.

The track was played when the Holy Gail dredges the bayou and brings up the armored tanker. Hoover then drives off with the tanker.

Displaced‘ is from the soundtrack to the 2005 video game Chaos Theory: Splinter Cell 3. A soundtrack that was completely written by Amon Tobin, and a soundtrack that revolutionized the way video game music is created.

Chaos Theory was Tobin’s first full-length soundtrack. He went on to also compose the music for the video game Infamous.

Amon Tobin doesn’t just stick to video games, however, as has also written music for movies including The Italian Job and 21.
