I bought the indie farming-simulation/RPG Stardew Valley a few months ago, but during the last couple of weeks is the first time I’ve really had to play it. And I have to say I’m absolutely astounded at what you can do in this game, as it has such a wide breadth of possibilities, to me, it seems impossible to ever get bored with it.
That being said, when I first started playing Stardew Valley, due to the lack of tutorial, I felt a little overwhelmed. Plus, it seemed like I missed doing quite a lot of things in the first few days that would have made my gameplay easier.
So, by the time I got to Spring Day 26, and was still feeling as though I could be playing this game more efficiently if I just knew what I was doing, I decided it was time to find a good Let’s Play of Stardew Valley, so that I could go through the early days of the game again to see just what I had missed.
Now, when I look for good Let’s Plays for any game, I usually start with one of my favorite YouTubers — Biffa2001. That’s because, even though Minecraft used to be his main game, in the last couple of years Biffa has done Let’s Plays for a lot of other games as well and, when he does them, he does them in massive depth.
Stardew Valley is one of them.
But Biffa’s Let’s Play of Stardew Valley isn’t just any old Let’s Play. It is long — 244 episodes long, in fact. He also still hasn’t finished, as I heard a rumor he would be continuing on with more videos in the series if the game ever got an update.
But, even with these 244 episodes, which is a total of around 5,900 minutes (98 hours) of gameplay, Biffa covers a huge amount of ground in Stardew Valley. And, by the time he hits some of the later videos, he has a massive farm up and running with just about every item crafted that is possible to craft, plus so many things mechanized, he just whizzes through gameplay. And you? You learn a lot.
That’s why, if you are looking for one of the best Let’s Plays of Stardew Valley, I cannot recommend anyone more than Biffa2001. Because he starts off the game like the rest of us — a total noob — and so he makes some mistakes. But, by video seven or eight, he is so into the groove of playing this game, he is already learning tricks it took me much longer to figure out.
