Cocteau Twins Simon Raymonde’s Lost Horizons ‘She Led Me Away‘ is gorgeous

If there is one thing that can make my week, it is the resurfacing of one of the musicians or bands I used to listen to in the 1980s and 90s. Bands like The Cocteau Twins, for instance. Or at least, in this case, part of them.

Because this week The Cocteau Twins’ Simon Raymonde has released another song from his new project Lost Horizons’ upcoming new album Ojalá. A song called ‘She Led Me Away‘, and an album collaboration with Dif Juz/Jesus and Mary Chain‘s Richie Thomas.

And just one listen to this soft, dreamy song and I am convinced this album is going to be one gorgeous offering.

Because although this track is more folk music than what Raymonde used to produce with The Cocteau Twins, from what I have heard so far Raymonde’s newest music is going to be no less beautiful. All you have to do is to listen to ‘She Led Me Away‘ (feat. vocals from Midlake’s Tim Smith), and you will hear that.

She Led Me Away‘ is the third single from Ojalá and follows in the footsteps of the first two releases from the album — ‘The Places We’ve Been‘ and ‘Frenzy, Fear’ — both solid tracks in their own right.

The 15-track Lost Horizons album is a collaboration with a variety of superb musicians including The Innocence Mission’s Karen Peris and crooner singer Hilang Child.

It is due for release on 3rd November via Bella Union.
