When Coldplay released their latest single ‘Adventure of a Lifetime‘ a couple of weeks ago, I said then it was one of the best songs they’d released. Now, after watching Coldplay perform ‘Adventure of a Lifetime‘ live on The Ellen Show this week, I have to say I’ve magnified that sentiment by about a thousand.
As I just love this song, and Chris Martin’s voice on it. It is such a happy track, with a great dance beat, the most incredible guitar riff and an amazingly addictive melody, and so different than the music from their last album which, frankly, was a tad depressing (let’s blame frontsman Chris Martin’s break up from wife Gwyneth Paltrow for that one).
Coldplay’s ‘Adventure of a Lifetime‘ is from their new, and seventh, studio album A Head Full of Dreams, just released yesterday.
An album that, according to some hints Martin has dropped, may be the band’s last. Let’s hope not. As this band deserves to go on and on and on.
