Conchita Wurst Talks About Importance of Gay Pride and Tolerance (Video)

conchita wurst stockholm interview

Cochita Wurst is currently in Stockholm, Sweden for Stockholm Pride. While there, of course, she’s doing the round of TV stations and newspapers as, just like everywhere in Europe, Swedish journalists are desperate to get an interview with her.

In one of Conchita’s videotaped interviews in Stockholm yesterday, she talked about the importance of gay pride around the world, as well as tolerance and why it should be a right that everyone is tolerated for whatever they do or look like, as long as they’re not hurting anyone.

As far as the importance of gay pride, Conchita says it’s important ‘in general, as it’s celebrating our own pride and our diversity’ in more open-minded countries like Sweden. But she goes on to talk about how pride in some countries is a ‘scream for help’ as intolerance is rife and homophobia a daily occurrence.

Watch Conchita Wurst’s interview with Sweden’s TV 4 in the video below. And, of course, if you haven’t ‘Liked’ Conchita’s Facebook page yet, please go there and do so. We’re trying to get her to that magic 1 million Likes. Can you help us?
