Australian singer Courtney Barnett’s debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit has been very successful. So much so, she has just released a new 7″ single on Third Man Records — “Boxing Day Blues (Revisited)“, and that’s getting some very nice reviews too.

And it’s an interesting song, as it starts out upbeat and a bit chirpy (chirpy for the melancholic Barnett anyway) but it soon turns into a bit more of a sad number, especially when you listen to the lyrics — “What do you feel for me anyway?“. Well, the word ‘blues’ is in the title, so what do you expect?
