Foo Fighters didn’t enjoy doing ‘Carpool Karaoke‘ with James Corden

You know when you see James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke‘ and you think it just took the 10 to 12 minutes we get to see on screen? And that the singers looked like they were having fun?

Nope, it didn’t. And chances are, they weren’t.

As rock band Foo Fighters admitted to the UK music magazine NME this week — when they did Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ last month, they didn’t really enjoy it.

Because, even though they sang along to Foo Fighter songs like ‘All My Life’, ‘Best Of You’, ‘Learn To Fly’ and ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’, the whole experience apparently took a lot longer than they would have liked.

“By hour three in the dude’s car, it got less fun,” guitarist Pat Smear complained. “It kinda went on. When we stopped at Guitar Centre, that felt like we were done, but it was like ‘this is halfway’.”

Band lead singer Dave Grohl did say Corden was a very nice guy, but that he found the whole experience just uncomfortable, as he really hates to sing along to his own songs.

And, when you look closely at the Carpool Karaoke video (see below), you can kind of tell that a lot of what the band is talking about as they are all squashed in the van together looks forced, and that Grohl really does look like he’s not having the greatest time through a lot of it.
