Jennifer Lawrence soaked a guy in beer in a Budapest bar fight
Actress Jennifer Lawrence is always the best talk show guest ever. Case in point, Lawrence’s appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night, where she arrived nursing a hangover from a premiere party the night before. A hangover she was treating with a glass of red wine courtesy of Seth.
“I’ve actually never worked in this state before. Normally, I don’t have to work the day after a premiere”, said Lawrence, until Seth laughingly jumped in saying “This is…by the way….I hope you don’t consider what you’re doing right now work.”
“Of course not,” said Lawrence. “I’m here by choice”, adding a bit later on “God, I wish I was in sweatpants. This is awful”.
Lawrence went on to talk about her new movie ‘Red Sparrow‘ that was shot in Budapest and, of course, had another drinking story to tell. This one involved her getting into a Budapest bar fight and making a guy cry.
“Budapest seems to be a dangerous place to get in a bar fight,” said Meyers.
“I mean…for him”, quipped Jennifer Lawrence.
Turns out the bar fight involved an overly zealous fan who, when he asked Lawrence for a selfie and she said “No” as she was too drunk, he kept asking and then ended the encounter with “f*ck you”.
“I don’t know,” exclaimed Lawrence. “Something in me just snapped. It couldn’t have been the alcohol. And I was like “Did you just say f*ck you to me? Did you just say f*ck you to me?”
She then grabbed the guy and started pouring beer all over him and all over his suitcase (yes, the guy had a suitcase with him, in a bar), and kept on doing it until a friend grabbed her and told her to “stop wasting beer”.
A couple of minutes later, another friend came out of the bathroom having missed the whole thing and said to Lawrence’s group, “Did you guys see that guy? He was all wet and crying.”
Moral of the story? Don’t mess with Jennifer Lawrence.
Watch her tell the story in the video below. She is as funny and cool as always.
