Listen to Cutting Crew’s (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight from Stranger Things, Season 3, Episode 1

With an enormous number of songs featured on Stranger Things, Season 3, Episode 1, “Suzie, Do You Copy?” on Netflix this week, one of the standout tracks was English pop rock band Cutting Crew’s (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight.

The power ballad was the track playing as Karen gets ready to go out, and then changes her mind.

Cutting Crew’s (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight was the lead single from the band’s debut album Broadcast.

Released in 1986 in the UK and 1987 in the U.S., the song was an enormous hit for the British band in 15 countries, and hit the top spot on the charts in Canada, Finland, Norway and the United States.

Besides Stranger Things, it has also been featured on the movies Never Been Kissed, the Lego Batman Movie, and Hot Tube Time Machine.

As for Cutting Crew, the band was founded in 1985, and has been together ever since although they have taken a series of breaks. Their last album was the 2015 release Add to Favourites.

Lead vocalist Nick Van Eede, however, is the only member of the original line-up still involved in the band.
