Listen to Edwin McCain’s ‘I’ll Be‘ from Midnight Texas “I Put A Spell On You”
American singer songwriter Edwin McCain’s ‘I’ll Be‘ was featured on the NBC supernatural drama Midnight, Texas this week — Season 2, Episode 4, “I Put A Spell On You“.
It was played as Bobo is standing outside Fiji’s house with his phone and a speaker playing music, and as Bobo continues playing the song after Fiji turns him down again.
‘I’ll Be‘ is the first single from Edwin McCain’s sophomore album Misguided Roses. Originally released in January, 1998, the track hit the number five spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and in the number six spot on the Canada Adult Contemporary chart.
The song appeared again on McCain’s third studio album, but this time as an acoustic version, and again on his 2015 EP Phoenix.
Along with being featured on Midnight, Texas, ‘I’ll Be‘ has also been used in Dawson’s Creek, Higher Ground, A Cinderella Story and in The Office.
