There is a wonderful French TV show called “Le Grand Journal” that airs every week night on CANAL+.
If you’re not French, you have likely never heard of it. If you like music, however, you really should start to follow the show as it has the most amazing musicians performing live.
Musicians like Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds who gave a superb performance of ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I’ live on Le Grand Journal this week.
Gallagher, of course, is the former Oasis lead guitarist who left the band in 2009 to strike out on his own.

‘Ballad Of The Mighty I’ is the second single from the band’s latest album Chasing Yesterday and it is a stunning track, with its fast-paced disco-style beat, dark undertones both in the music and the lyrics
And, of course, the iconic Gallagher’s guitar solo midway through.
