Watch The Amazons perform Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules‘, it’s raw, rough and risky

The British indie rock band The Amazons were in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week where they performed a very cool rock version of Dua Lipa’s latest single ‘New Rules. A version that includes some hellishly fabulous guitar riffs, and one that is raw, rough and risky, and exactly the opposite sound of Lipa’s original — and man, does it work.

They also threw in a performance of their new single ‘Ultraviolet‘ for good measure.

And, if you are not familiar with The Amazons, you should be. Not only were they one of the artists included in the BBC’s ‘Sound of 2017‘, they have also been on a fair few critics ‘Bands To Watch‘ lists.

When you watch them with what they do with Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules‘, you will immediately see why.

Check out the BBC Radio One Live Lounge video below. And their ‘Ultraviolet‘ performance below that. You can pick up their self-titled debut album on most major music sites.
