Watch The Pretenders Perform ‘Holy Commotion‘ live

It isn’t often you get to see The Pretenders playing live on your TV set, but we got that privilege last night when The Pretenders performed ‘Holy Commotion‘ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. An awesome performance, I might add.

Holy Commotion‘ is from the veteran band’s latest album Alone — the 11th studio album from the British-American band in their almost 40-year history. (Yep, they were founded almost 40 years ago — hard to believe it, isn’t it?)

The Pretenders have not played live since 2012, however, but have spent the last few weeks on the road touring with Stevie Nicks. A tour that will finish at the end of the year.

The band’s late night appearance on Stephen Colbert was promotion of the new album and the tour.

Watch The Pretenders on Stephen Colbert last night in the video below. You can pick up the band’s new album Alone on all major digital music platforms.

Edited: Sadly, Colbert has deleted The Pretenders video from his YouTube channel, so I am substituting a similarly fabulous live performance the band did on BBC Radio 6. Enjoy!
