Watch Tyler, The Creator perform his single ‘911‘ on Stephen Colbert and have a good time doing it

Rapper Tyler, The Creator released his new album Flower Boy last week (July 21st, 2017), and last night he showed up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform ‘911‘, one of the two lead singles from the album.

The song was staged with a group of dancers as if he was performing on the stage of a massive concert venue and they were the crowd.

And, while he could have performed a single like ‘Who Dat Boy‘ (his other lead single released at the same time as ‘911‘), ‘Boredom’ or ‘I Ain’t Got Time‘ — all of which have been released in the last few months — I’m glad he went with ‘911‘. Because it’s a song with a good message — loneliness, and how success doesn’t really matter if the person you love is not there sharing it with you.

As he says in it, “Yeah I got a sold out show/crowd wild out, but it don’t matter ’cause you not front row”.

As for Tyler, The Creator’s performance of the track on Stephen Colbert, not only was it a performance that was chill and cool and lovely to watch, Tyler himself obviously enjoyed it too saying at the end of it “That was fun. That was fun!”

Pick up Tyler, The Creator’s new album Flower Boy on all major music sites because, frankly, it is even better than his previous release Cherry Bomb, and watch his lovely Stephen Colbert performance in the video below.
