The first trailer for the new fantasy romance anime The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife has been released, and, if you are looking for an animated series that is super sweet, this one looks like it will arrive coated in sugar.
The new The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife trailer was released today on the anime’s X account, along with the voice actors named for protagonists Shizuka Yakou and Akira Tounome. Several staff members and a 2026 premiere date were also announced.
The two main leads are Yuka Nukui (Ann in Sugar Apple Fairy Tale), who is voicing blind detective agency assistant Yakou, and Youhei Azakami (Ron in Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions) as invisible detective Tounome.
The pair work in a detective agency together, with blind Yakou eventually realizing she can figure out where Tounome is, even if she can’t see and he can’t be seen.
The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-be-Wife trailer shows Tounome testing that theory, and Ann passing the test with flying colors.
Production details for The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-be-Wife
Staff members announced today include Mitsuho Seta with his directing debut. He is also in charge of series composition.
Kairi Unabara (Witch Hat Atelier) is designing the characters, while studio Project No.9 (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway) is animating.
The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Iwatobineko.
The manga’s first volume describes its plot like this:
The gentle and soft-spoken human woman Yakou works at a detective agency run by the smart and kind ‘Invisible Man’—Tounome.
Though his transparency makes him perfectly suited for detective work, Yakou, who is blind, somehow always senses his presence even when he’s vanished.
Drawn to her “unseen” charms, Tounome eagerly escorts her every day…!?
Blushing office antics unfold under the watchful eyes of a contrarian human man, a tough-guy beastman, and quirky coworkers!
Check out the anime’s super sweet trailer, and look out for this when it drops some time in 2026. The earlier the better, right?
