The upcoming manga A Reincarnated Witch Spells Doom, Volume 1 written by Tail Yuzuhara and illustrated by Sora is now up for pre-order via Yen Press.
The fantasy romance manga (known as 転生魔女は滅びを告げる or Tensei Majo wa Horobi wo Tsugeru in Japan), tells the story of 18-year-old shut-in Sena Shirai who, on her 18th birthday, decides it is about to time she tried to get over her phobias.
Unfortunately for Sena, she is hit by a truck and killed just steps outside her front door, and then reincarnated into a magical world as a witch soon after.
Of course, as it seems like life will never be fair for Sena, where other witches in this new world have mastery of all kinds of spells, the only two Sena is able to master are Explosion and Destruction. (Sounds a bit like KonoSuba’s Megumin, eh?)
That leaves everyone in the village she lives in terrified of her destructive powers, so Sena and her mother isolate themselves in a small cottage in Ludfalla Forest.
Even after her mother dies, Sena remains in the forest until, on her 18th birthday (again!) a strange boy called Keith suddenly collapses on her doorstep and needs care.
Soon, Keith is trying to persuade her to leave her isolation and travel to far places with him.
The A Reincarnated Witch Spells Doom, Volume 1 pre-order can be placed for both the trade paperback and the digital version of the manga, for $13 and $6.99 respectively, from now until its scheduled publishing date of June 20th.
