Two other When Life Gives You Tangerines actors also make Top 5
The latest Good Data Corporation Most Buzzworthy Actors list is out and, with the Netflix K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines being such a massive ratings and critical success, it is probably no surprise that actress IU (aka Lee Ji Eun) is #1 on that list.
She is also accompanied in the Top 5 by two other When Life Gives You Tangerines actors – co-star Park Bo Gum at #2 and Kim Seon Ho at #3.
Completing the Top 5 on the list, we also have Undercover High School’s Seo Kang Jun at #4 and Hyper Knife’s Park Eun Bin grabbing the #5 spot.
Undercover High School, by the way, is still the #1 Most Buzzworthy Drama for the now-sixth week.
Things don’t end there for When Life Gives You Tangerines actors, however, because as you will see two other actors also made it into the Top 10.
The Top 10 Most Buzzworthy Actors list, by the way, looks like this:
- IU (When Life Gives You Tangerines)
- Park Bo Gum (When Life Gives You Tangerines)
- Kim Seon Ho (When Life Gives You Tangerines)
- Seo Kang Jun (Undercover High School)
- Park Eun Bin (Hyper Knife)
- Park Hyung Sik (Buried Hearts)
- Lee Je Hoon (The Art of Negotiation)
- Lee Jun Young (When Life Gives You Tangerines)
- Mun Ka Young (My Dearest Nemesis)
- Kang You Seok (When Life Gives You Tangerines)
An excellent list with the only exception, to me at least, is that I would have thought/hoped The Art of Negotiation‘s Lee Je Hoon would have been higher up on it.
When Life Gives You Tangerines ends its run
Meanwhile, When Gives You Tangerines ended its 16-episode run on March 28th, and was still in the #3 spot on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart last week.
I also fully expect it to still be on the chart when it updates via Netflix’s Tudum tomorrow.
And, if that isn’t already great news, astoundingly the usually-disgruntled users of My Drama List, where an 8.5 is a very high score, are awarding When Life Gives You Tangerines a crazy high 9.4 out of 10. (Just about unheard of on that site).
Wonders will never cease, eh?
Then again, it is not only one of the best Korean dramas of 2025 but, honestly, one of the best K-dramas of all-time.
