Actress Kate Mara isn’t just talented at acting, apparently she was also in a children’s singing group when she was a little kid.
Mara was on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night when he dragged out an old CD or her former singing group Sugar Beats and asked her about it. They apparently created ‘retro pop for kids’.
Kate Mara laughed and said, yep, she used to be in the kids’ group, and she did four albums with them. She went on to say she got into the group because singer Carole King’s daughter lived across the street from her when she was nine years old, and was looking for kids to form a group to record an album.
Kate Mara was one of the kids chosen, and she went on to sing with the group for five or six years.
Mara has also had a recent short hair cut, which she was sporting on The Tonight Show last night, and it is exceptionally cute on her.
Watch Kate Mara on The Tonight Show in the video below. And yes, Jimmy even played a clip of her singing with Sugar Beats, so you can hear how she sounded.
