Adorable Nyaruko illustration released to promote Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos Blu-ray Box Set

The 2012 sci-fi comedy anime Nyaruko: Crawling With Love! was one of the big hits of the Spring, 2012 anime season.

It spawned a second season and an OVA, and has since been recommended on many critics’ lists if you are looking for a show that is laid-back, hilarious and, yep, ridiculously bizarre.

With this year being the Nyaruko: Crawling with Love! 10th anniversary, word is out via AnimeAnime.jp today that a new 10th Anniversary Blu-ray box set is on its way later this year.

The Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos Blu-ray Box Set will feature both seasons, and the ONA, on seven Blu-ray discs.

Including in the set will also be six CDs featuring more than 100 songs from the popular anime.

The Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos Blu-ray Box Set is due to be released in Japan on December 23rd.

In celebration of the release, an absolutely adorable new Nyaruko illustration was also published today (see below) showing the lovely, upbeat grey-haired protagonist just as we remember her.

The illustration was drawn by the original manga artist Koin.

Nyaruko: Crawling with Love! (aka Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos) is a Japanese light novel series written by Manta Aisora and illustrated by the aforementioned Koin.

The first light novel in the series was published in 2009, with the 12th and final volume in early 2014.

A manga adaptation called Haiyore! Nyaruko-san was also published.

 

Both seasons, the ONA and the alternative version Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft shorts series are streaming on Crunchyroll, who has this to say about the anime franchise:
