Akane Fujita joins Osamake: Romcom cast along with Tomoyo Takayanagi, Kaede Hondo, Miyuri Shimabukuro, and Natsumi Hioka

Five new cast members in the Osamake: Romcom Where the Childhood Friend Won’t Lose anime have been announced today with one of my favorite Japanese voice actresses, Akane Fujita, heading the list.

Fujita, of course, played Megumi “Megu-chan” Uda in High School Fleet, as well as the role of Akane Uchimura in the recent climbing anime Iwa-Kakeru! -Sport Climbing Girls-, and Sagiri Izumi in the extremely cute Eromanga Sensei.

Akane Fujita will play the role of Midori Shida in Osamake: Romcom.

She joins fellow actresses Tomoyo Takayanagi (Mira in Asteroid in Love), Miyuri Shimabukuro (Carole in Carole & Tuesday), Natsumi Hioka (Aika in Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town), and Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto in Zombie Land Saga).

Osamake: Romcom (aka Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy ) is based on the light novel series by Shuichi Nimaru and illustrated by Ui Shigure.

Publication is by ASCII Media Works.

The series recently began streaming on Crunchyroll, who says this about the anime’s plot:

She smiles just for me. Her name is Kachi Shirokusa and she’s even an award-winning high school girl writer! And she’s beautiful! I know that she’s totally out of reach for me, a normal high school kid named Maru Sueharu! But I think something’s there… No, there’s definitely something there!

Or so I thought… but Kachi has a boyfriend?!

Seeing me depressed, my friend ever since we were little who’s cute, cheerful, and loves to look after others, Shida Kuroha… who also apparently had no problem telling me that she likes me for some reason just suggested, “Let’s get revenge.”

Check out the cute Osamake: Romcom key visual above, and the recently released trailer below.
