Sweden’s Alcazar have a new single out and it’s a fun one. Called Good Lovin‘, it’s likely to end up in heavy rotation in Europe’s nightclubs for the rest of the summer as it’s a good dance number and has a catchy beat. Plus, come on, it’s Alcazar. They’re lovely.
Alcazar, of course, is Andreas Lundstedt, Tess Merkel, and Lina Hedlund. They’re a group that have already had a lot of success with Eurodance numbers all over Europe, but came to the attention of even more of us earlier this year when they gave the Swedish voting results during the Eurovision 2014 final.
After Eurovision, I liked Alcazar even more than before because, when giving Sweden’s 12 points to Conchita Wurst, the ultimate winner of Eurovision 2014, Tess Merkel had ‘Equal Rights’ written on her arm. How cool is that?
Good Lovin’ was produced by Jonas von der Burg and co-written by Therese Grankvist, Anoo Bhagavan and Niklas von der Burg. You can listen to it in the video below. And I think you’re going to like it.
Meanwhile, Alcazar has just started a Swedish tour. It kicked off in Eskilstuna on the 6th of July and will end on 30th August in Almhult.
