A new Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian key visual has just been released by Kadokawa for the upcoming anime series, but that’s not all.

Because, in the case of the new romantic comedy, Kadokawa has really gone to town updating us with information about what looks like will be a fabulously fun anime.

In fact, we got a ton of new information about it, and most of it is pretty damned exciting.

New Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian key visual

First is the just-released Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian key visual. (see below)

That visual features Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou (aka Alya) sitting on school steps clutching a drink, while protagonist Masachika Kuze looks at her quizzically.

Masachika by the way, while only a first-year high school student, can speak Russian. He just doesn’t tell Alisa that.

After all, if he did, hearing her flirting with him in Russian wouldn’t be anywhere near as much fun.

The Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian premiere date

The upcoming school-themed comedy romance anime, which is based on the light novel series written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco, has finally gotten a premiere date.

That date is April, 2024, meaning it will be part of the Spring, 2024 anime season. (You can check out the dates for when each anime season starts).

New Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian character visuals

Along with the new key visual, Kadokawa has also released some very sweet looking new Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian character visuals.

There are three of them, and they come with a cute profile write up for each of the two main characters (Alisa and Masachika), and one supporting character (Alisa’s sister Maria).

Those character visuals look like this:

Masachika Kuze

(VA: Kohei Amasaki)

A boy who sits next to Alya. An unmotivated underachiever in school who sleeps during class because he stays up late watching anime. Alya always scolds him for appearing so nonchalant.

He learned Russian as a child because his first crush was a Russian-speaking girl (unbeknownst to Alya).

Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou (Alya)

(VA: Sumire Uesaka)

An honor student with good looks and excellent grades, she is often referred to as the “Solitary Princess” by those around her. She transferred to Seirei Gakuen during her third year of junior high school and currently serves as treasurer of the high school student council.

She lives in a family of four, including her Russian father, Japanese mother, and her sister who is 1 year older. A particular incident made her interested in Masachika, and she sometimes teases him in Russian, believing that he doesn’ t understand it.

Maria Mikhailovna Kujou (Masha)

(VA: Yukiyo Fujii)

Alya’ s older sister and secretary of the school council. Her exceptional proportions and gentle good looks have made her extremely popular at school, and she has been nicknamed the “Holy Mother of the School.”

She allegedly has a boyfriend and all of the boys who have confessed their feelings to Masha have been turned down because of his existence.

A new Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou birthday visual

As if all those cute visuals weren’t already enough, Kadokawa has also released an adorable Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou birthday visual, which features Alisa and her sister Maria celebrating her birthday with a huge cake.

Yes, today, November 7th is Alisa’s birthday and, to celebrate that, a special live show was streamed on YouTube featuring the voice actors for the two sisters — Sumire Uesaka who plays Alya, and Yukiyo Fujii who voices Maria (also known as Masha).

You can watch the intro for that video below (live video not currently available), via the the anime’s official YouTube channel.
