Model and actress Amber Heard was on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon this week, where Jimmy told her he liked her tats. Yes. Tats.
And tats because Amber Heard had just appeared on the cover of Elle magazine, and, while looking at the photo, Jimmy had noticed her tattoos. So, he asked her about them.
According to Amber, the top tattoo is a line of poetry from Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. As for what it says?
In Spanish, “Te amo como se aman ciertas cosas oscuras, secretamente, entre la sombra y el alma“, which in English translates to “I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”
As for the Omar Khayyam quote?
He was a Persian poet (among many many other things), and the line of poetry from him that Amber Heard chose to have tattooed on her body?
Well that one is going to remain a secret it seems. All Amber will say about it is the tattoo is in Farsi and it is poetry.
Hmmm. Now I’m curious.
