Angelina Jolie was at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards yesterday with two of her own kids, Zahara and Shiloh and, from photos, it certainly looked like they were having a lot of fun But it wasn’t just an event where she could spend time with her children and have a blast, Jolie also won ‘Best Villain’ for her role in ‘Maleficent‘.
As part of her acceptance, speech Angelina made a point of telling the millions of children that were watching, “When someone tells you that you are different, smile and hold your head up and be proud.”
She went on to say,
I was told I was different. And I felt out of place: too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. Cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.’
Talk about empowering kids, and making them feel good about themselves. Good for Angelina, is all I can say. More kids should be told that.
