Anime-Gataris ending song ‘Good Luck Lilac’ is catchy and a great start to your Monday morning

I have to confess, I am a little obsessed with anime music at the moment. Come on, it’s usually well-written, catchy and with melodies that are upbeat and make you happy.

Take the Anime-Gataris ending song Crunchyroll just uploaded to their YouTube channel last night. I listened to it this morning, and it definitely got my Monday morning off on the right foot.

The song is called ‘Good Luck Lilac‘ and was sung by a group called GATALIS. A group made up of Kaede HondoSayaka Senbongi, and Hisako Tōjō. Japanese voice actresses that provided the voices for three of Anime-Gataris‘s main characters.

Anime-Gataris is a Japanese anime series that aired in late 2017. The series follows a group of Sakaneko Private High School students who form an anime club, and then spend their time eating, sleeping and breathing anime while fighting off the attempts of the student council to have the club disbanded.

It is also what friends have described as Otaku 101 as, along with the cute story, Anime-Gataris explains everything you ever wanted to know about anime.

Anime-Gataris is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, and seems to be available to anyone in North America but not so much in the rest of the world, including Austria where I am, sadly. (I watched it last year elsewhere).

You can, however, listen to the catchy Anime-Gataris ending song ‘Good Luck Lilac‘ in the video below and, of course, watch that cute ending credits sequence.
