Japanese animation studio TMS Entertainment shared some exciting news earlier today, revealing three fresh faces that will be joining the Undead Unluck English dub cast.
The anime itself is based on Yoshifumi Tozuka’s Undead Unluck manga.
The three join the Undead Unluck English dub cast just in time for the thrilling final arc of the season.
Those three new dub cast members are seasoned voice actors Anne Yatco (Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen) who is voicing Anno Un, Suzie Yeung (Makima in Chainsaw Man) who plays Backs, and Risa Mei (Kaoru in Rurouni Kenshin) who is Yusai.
They will join main cast members Ben Balmaceda, Jackie Lastra, Aleks Le, Daniel Walton and Amber Lee Connors.
The recently completed Season 1 of the subbed version of Undead Unluck premiered on October 6th last year, and ran until March 23rd.
The Undead Unluck English dub premiered in mid-December, 2024.
The anime series is directed by Yuki Yase (Fire Force), with Gakuto Haishima (Fire Force) in charge of series composition, and with character designs from Hideyuki Morioka (Kizumonogatari).
David Production, who also created Fire Force as well as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Urusei Yatsura, was in charge of anime production.
The Undead Unluck manga series
The manga series the hit anime is based on is currently being published in English via Viz Media, who explains its plot in this fashion:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally!
Now she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he works to find a way to trigger a stroke of Unluck big enough to kill him for good.
However, when the pair discovers a secret organization is hunting them, it puts Andy’s burial plans on hold.
Viz Media published Volume 15 of the English language manga yesterday, with Volume 16 already up on pre-order and due to release on July 16th.
For those who also prefer the English dub experience, and there are millions of you, the series kicked off on December 13th on Hulu.
There are currently 19 English dubbed episodes of Undead Unluck out, with the other five due in the next month.
As for new Undead Unluck English dub cast members Anne Yatco, Suzie Yeung and Risa Mei, they will be appearing in the anime’s next episode.
