The upcoming romance anime Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You (aka Douse, Koishite Shimaunda) is due to premiere in January, 2025 so, of course, we are starting to get more information as the date gets closer.
Today, the Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You main cast was named, alongside a new teaser trailer and a sweet visual featuring the four main boys — Shuugo, Airu, Shin and Kizuki. (see below)
The anime’s four boys and one girl main cast has been named as:
- Shouya Chiba (Nirei in Wind Breaker) who is voicing Airu Izumi
- Sion Yoshitaka, in his first VA role, is playing Shin Kashiwagi
- Kazuki Ura (Yoichi in Blue Lock) voices Kizuki Hazawa
- Satoshi Inomata (Kaoru in Tsurune: Kazemai High School Kyudo Club) plays Shugo Hoshikawa
- Sakura Shinfuku (Milly in The Legendary Hero Is Dead!) plays Mizuho Nishino
The just-released Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You teaser visual is also quite a romantic one, with the production committee nicely describing it in this way:
The new Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You teaser visual captures four of the main characters, who are Mizuho’s childhood friends, Kizuki, Shin, Airu and Shugo, lying on their backs by a shallow body of water, looking ahead as if they are gazing at someone.
The design is strikingly blue and splashed with water, and the visual is reminiscent of the manga cover of the same work.
As for the anime’s teaser trailer, it introduces the five childhood friends, as they head off to school together.
They each talk to Mizuho while, at the end as they walk away from the camera together, she admits “I honestly know, I couldn’t stay like this forever”.
The PV is short, but it definitely makes you wonder what may happen in the future, doesn’t it?
The Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You anime is based on the romance manga by Haruka Mitsui.
It is being published in English by Kodansha USA, with seven volumes already out and Volume 8 due later this month.
They explain its plot like this:
It’s 2020, and Mizuha’s seventeenth birthday is the pits. Her dad forgot, the senpai she likes isn’t interested, and her social calendar is getting cleared out by a mysterious virus. But when her longtime childhood friend asks her out, Mizuha has to sort out what this change could mean. And her feelings may not be the only ones changing…!
Sadly, as pretty as it looks, it’s not an anime for me as it takes place during the Covid panic and, I’m so done with that, I can’t even… but you may enjoy it.
