Atelier Ryza’s Lila character video has her introducing herself as Empel Vollmer’s bodyguard

Lila Decyrus with Empel Vollmer in Lila’s character video

As the Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout anime series gets ever closer to premiering, Liden Films continues to release character videos for all of the main characters, with today’s release a very welcome Ateier Ryza‘s Lila character video.

That video introduces us to Lila Decyrus, one of the few members of the fallen Oren race still alive and, according to the character designer of the Atelier Ryza video game series, someone who is half-human and half-beast.

In Atelier Ryza‘s Lila character video, we see Lila introduce herself to Lent Marslink as wandering alchemist Empel Vollmer’s bodyguard, and then as she tells Lent he shouldn’t worry as she can teach him how to be a warrior.

Yep, Lila is pretty kickass in every sense of the word, as well as an Atelier Ryza character who knows who she is and what her goal is in life — to avenge her homeland after it was invaded and destroyed by monsters known as the Philscuha.

Atelier Ryza‘s Lila character video also features the voice of Japanese voice actress Haruka Terui (Yuki in Yuki Yuna is a Hero) as Lila.

Haruka Terui joins the rest of the main cast — Yuri Noguchi who plays Ryza, Takuma Tershima as Lent, Hirofumi Nojima as Empel, Yui Kondo as Tao, and Hitomi Owada as Klaudia.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout is based on the hit video game of the same name from Koei Tecmo.

The anime adapatation is directed by Emma Yuzuriha, with series composition from Yashichiro Takahashi, and character designs by Tomoyuki Shitaya.

Liden Films is in charge of anime production, with Asahi Production responsible for 2D works, and Studio Inspired creating the background art.

Nothing much has been released about the plot of the Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout anime adaptation as of yet, but it is probably safe to say it will follow the plot the video game.

Watch Atelier Ryza‘s Lila character video below. The anime itself is due to premiere on July 1st.
