With just one episode of the Korean drama Black Out left to air, Black Out, Episode 13 just earned ratings that were only a teeny blip away from its best ever.
According to Nielsen Korea, Black Out, Episode 13 earned 8.6 percent nationwide.
That is up from its previous episode’s 7.9 percent, and so close to the drama’s best ever rating of 8.7 percent (for Episode 11), the cast and crew could probably taste it.
Audiences in Seoul also tuned into Black Out’s penultimate episode in high numbers last night.
That meant the Kdrama earned 8.2 percent of the viewership in Seoul — a nice increase from Episode 12’s rating of 7.5 percent, and just 0.3 percent away from its highest rating for Episode 11.
With dramas The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, Knight Flower, Wonderful World, Chief Detective 1958, Bitter Sweet Hell and The Pork Cutlets also airing in the same time slot on MBC this year, Black Out’s penultimate episode performed as well as most of them.
Black Out stars Byun Yo Han, Ko Jun, Go Bo Gyeol, and Kim Bo Ra.
The Korean drama’s final episode will air later on tonight on MBC in South Korea, and will stream internationally via Disney+ and Hulu.
