Symphony of the Night producer Koji Igarashi’s massively successful Kickstarter action adventure game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally looking as though it is much closer to release with news today of a backer demo, and the release of a new story trailer.
You may remember that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was originally supposed to be released in March, 2017 but was later pushed back to 2018.
With this year now halfway over, however, there is still no news of a release date although ArtPlay the game’s developer says that should be announced soon.
Until then, Kickstarter backers of the game can now play a game demo if they donated at the $60 tier or higher, and others can watch the game’s new story trailer. The trailer shows almost a minute of in-game footage, as well as hints of the game’s storyline.
Those who have watched the trailer so far seem to be predominantly with a majority opinion. An opinion that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night looks like a very worthy Castlevania successor, and that they are still excited to see how it ultimately turns out.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will eventually be released for PC, Linux, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, watch the new story trailer below to get a sense of how the game is progressing. Nicely, I would say.
