Great news for Blue Exorcist fans who love a good English dub
Aniplex of America just dropped an announcement that will have English dub lovers buzzing with excitement.
The highly-anticipated English dub of Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga (aka Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) is finally set to start streaming on Crunchyroll later on today.
In other words, get ready for some epic demon-fighting action in a language you can understand, eh?
Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga, Episode 1 is also brilliant fun, by the way, as Lewin Light (aka Arch Knight “Lightning”) joins the teaching staff of the academy as the Magic Circles and Seals teacher.
And he’s a lunatic. To put it mildly.
So there’s a lot for you to look forward to.
This new chapter in the Blue Exorcist franchise features not one, but two cour of adventure, with the entire season running for around three months.
The first cour, Beyond the Snow Saga, kicked off on October 5th in its original Japanese language, while the incredibly popular franchise continues with the second cour, The Blue Night Saga, currently scheduled to begin airing in January, 2025.
Staff returned for Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga
The talented team behind this saga has also returned to bring the magic to life once again, as it continues the thrilling story from Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga.
And, as far as staff goes, director Daisuke Yoshida, screenwriter Toshiya Ono, and character designer Yurie Oohigashi, who is also the anime’s chief animation director, are all back at the helm.
Viewers of the Japanese language original will tell you, that means we are getting some nice continuity in the latest season again as well.
The plot of Blue Exorcist
Now, just in case you have yet to start watching this superb anime series, let’s fill you in on our hero, Rin Okumura.
Raised by the legendary exorcist Father Fujimoto, Rin discovers a shocking truth after he gets into a fateful argument with him —he’s actually the son of the demon lord Satan. Yikes!
With the urge to defeat his father, Rin dives headfirst into the mysterious True Cross Academy to become an exorcist.
But can he keep his dark lineage a secret while battling demons?
Especially when, every time he draws his sword, that demonic power threatens to take over his body.
Blue Exorcist the manga
The Blue Exorcist manga the hit anime series is based on is written by Kazue Katō. It was launched way back in 2009, and has been a massive success since, selling over 25 million copies so far.
While Katō is currently taking a short hiatus for health reasons the story, thankfully, continues to captivate fans worldwide in anime form.
VIZ Media is also bringing the manga to English-speaking audiences, so if you haven’t jumped into Rin’s wild world yet, now’s the perfect time.
Especially as there are 29 volumes already out, and Volume 30 on its way in December.
So gear up, Blue Exorcist enthusiasts.
There’s a lot to look forward in the Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga English dub, which hits Crunchyroll later on today.
