Blue Exorcist -Beyond the Snow Saga gets new trailer, premiere date

Upcoming anime series Blue Exorcist -Beyond the Snow Saga- (aka Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) got a new trailer and a premiere date earlier today via its official website.

That premiere date is October 6th.

Meanwhile the 30-second Blue Exorcist -Beyond the Snow Saga- teaser trailer features a snippet of the anime’s ending theme song — ‘Tsurara‘ by Yobahi — as well as several quick scenes featuring many of our favorite characters.

Yobahi’s theme song is the first time the Gifu Prefecture-native has released music for an anime.

What season of the anime is Beyond the Snow Sage?

Blue Exorcist -Beyond the Snow Saga- (aka Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) is the sequel to the anime series Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga, which ended its run in March, 2024.

The number of episodes that will air has not yet been announced. It is the anime series’ fourth season.

-Beyond the Snow Saga- will then be followed by its second cour Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga, which is due to premiere in January, 2025.

And, while it may seem as though anime studio Studio VOLN has been cranking out successive seasons of the hit action fantasy at a very fast pace recently, considering there are currently 31 volumes out in Japanese, there is still a lot of story left to cover so there is a reason why.

The Blue Exorcist anime franchise is based on the hit manga written and illustrated by Kazue Kato.

The manga is being published by VIZ Media, with 29 of the 31 volumes currently out in English.

As for the previous episodes of the anime — Crunchyroll is streaming Season 1, Season 2 (the Kyoto Saga) and Season 3 (Shimane Illuminati Saga) for its international subscribers.

That means you can catch up to the wonderful story before its next season hits.

Watch the new Blue Exorcist: -Beyond the Snow Saga- trailer below with its snippet of the ending theme song, and mark your calendars for October 6th when the new season of the anime premieres.
