The upcoming BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 has finally gotten a premiere date, and that date is January, 2023.

A long time in the coming for many of we obsessed fans of this fabulous show. An anime, I might add, I have watched through four times already, as it is now 2 1/2 years since its first season premiered. Yikes!

Along with the announcement of the fantasy comedy anime’s premiere, we also got the first BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 trailer.

A cute trailer that not only shows protagonist Maple obviously preparing for yet more chaotic adventures, it also features most of her equally adorable friends. (watch below)

Shin Oonuma (The Misfit of Demon King Academy) is back to direct Season 2, as is Fumihiko Shimo who will be responsible for series composition again, and character designer Kazuya Hirata.

The full cast will also be back to reprise their roles.

What is BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense?

Based on the light novel series of the same name (Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu in Japan) written by Yuumikan and illustrated by Koin, BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense tells the story of Kaede Honjou who joins a popular VRMMO at the urging of a friend.

But, when she arrives in the fantasy world, she isn’t sure how to allocate her stat points, so she pushes them all into vitality.

Something you might think could turn out badly for her but, in reality, it has the opposite effect.

In fact, Kaede, known in-game as Maple, is soon one of the most overpowered characters in the game, and is off one-shot-ing her enemies wherever she goes.

Watch the just released BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 trailer below, and mark your calendars for January, 2023.

Now doesn’t that look like it’s going to be incredibly cute?
