A new, and very cute, Kuroitsu-san from The Monster Development Department visual has been released for the upcoming fantasy comedy anime.
Along with the visual, we also got the show’s first trailer and an air date of January 8th, 2022.
Kuroitsu-san from The Monster Development Department (known as Kaijin Kaihatsubu no Kuroitsu-san in Japan) is based on the manga series by Hiroaki Mizusaki, (who, apparently, is thrilled the manga is being turned into an anime).
It tells the story of Touka Kuroitsu, a girl who works for a monster-creating company that makes monsters for the secret organization Agastya, an evil organization fighting the allies of justice.
But, before you think Touka is a powerful anti-hero, out to destroy the world, think again.
Instead, she is a research assistant who fights against the stupidity of her bosses, and against the high-pressure work environment she finds herself in.
The cute Kuroitsu-san from The Monster Development Department visual features Touka and Wolf showing off their true personalities, as Wolf clutzes her way through the day and Touka gives us a little insight into her own superhero-ness.
Even if it is fighting against the company she is employed by.
The Kuroitsu-san from The Monster Development Department also got a short trailer, which will give you an idea of the zany humor in the show as well as a quick look at some of its main characters.
You can watch that trailer below.

Voice actress Kaori Maeda (Tamayomi) is playing the role of Touka Kuroitsu, with Satomi Amano (Tamayomi) as Wolf Bate.
Hisashi Saito (Hagani) is directing the series, with Katsuhiko Takayama (ef: A Tale of Memories) writing the script and Kazuya Morimae (Animation Director Haganai: A Round-Robin Story’s Ending Is Way Extreme) adapting the manga’s characters.
The Kuroitsu-san from The Monster Development Department anime series will premiere in Japan on January 8th, 2022.
Yep, this one looks very cute.
