The upcoming Studio Drive anime Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister just got another cute visual featuring protagonist Uryuu Kamihate carrying his medical school notes, while thinking about the three Amagami sisters.
After all, he has to marry one of them.
The three sisters — Yae, Yuna and Asahi — are also shown on the new Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister visual looking as sweet and delightful as you might expect.
Even if all three of them are quite a bit more complicated (and devious?) than you might expect.
Along with the visual, two more cast members who are joining the rom-com anime were also announced. They are:
- Nana Mizuki (Viola in The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch) is voicing Mahiru Anekoji
- Chika Anzai (Shizuru in Train to the End of the World)
The new anime is based on the manga of the same name by Marcey Naito, which is being published in English by Kodansha.
Kodansha has this to say about the plot:
Uryu Kamihate has had a rough start to life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream—matriculating into medical school. But when he arrives at his new foster home, a working shrine, his dream of a quiet place to study goes up in smoke.
Not only will he be living with the three beautiful, lively Amagami sisters—but he learns that he must marry one of them and take over the shrine!
Yujiro Abe (KONOSUBA) is directing the anime, with Hiroshi Watanabe (Hetalia World★Stars) as assistant director, Yasuko Aoki (The Demon Prince of Momochi House) in charge of series composition, and character designs from Haruko Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale).
The Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime series is scheduled to premiere in October, 2024. (Update: A cute trailer was released for the anime in August).
Crunchyroll will be streaming the rom-com anime worldwide.
