The Czech Republic has just released their song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and it’s gorgeous. Being sung by Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta, who were internally chosen to represent the Czech Republic, the song is called ‘Hope Never Dies‘, and is a slow, sad rock ballad.

‘Hope Never Dies‘ starts out with a beautiful piano and Václav Noid Bárta singing ‘Wait for me, don’t cross the sea of pain. Wait for me I’m lost, I’ve gone astray“, and I’m already pulled in.

Marta Jandová joins in with the poignant ‘Ravens calling my name, their wings so dark. Soon they’ll take me away, I have their mark.” with both singers ending the first verse with “They never miss their prey“. And isn’t that just one of the most lyrically beautiful verses you’ve heard for Eurovision 2015 so far?

Which just helped ‘Hope Never Dies‘ easily jump into my Top 5 picks for Eurovision 2015 so far.

As it’s also the first time the Czech Republic has been at Eurovision since 2009, and they have never made it into the final, I’m also predicting this will be their first final entry as, come on, it’s heartbreakingly good, and most definitely worthy.

You can listen to Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta singing ‘Hope Never Dies‘ in the Soundcloud file below. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, and so unusual isn’t it?
