According to the BBC, actor Daniel Craig aka James Bond, has had knee surgery this week after an injury he sustained while filming the latest Bond movie ‘Spectre‘.
The film company Eon Productions said Craig had been in New York over Easter, where he had had a “minor procedure” on his knee, so it certainly doesn’t sound too serious. Particularly as it’s been over two months since his accident.
Eon also insisted Craig had not taken any days off from filming.
‘Spectre‘ is the 24th James Bond film, and has been in production since last December, with much of the filming being done at the UK’s famous Pinewood Studios and in various locations around London.
Early scenes were also filmed in Austria, in and around Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altaussee. It was here that Craig was injured while filming a fight scene.
In recent months, however, production has moved to Rome and to Mexico, with Morocco being the next stop.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife as to who will sing the ‘Spectre‘ title song. Names thrown around have included Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, Lady Gaga and, of course, Austria’s own Conchita Wurst, who won Eurovision 2014 with her very own Bond-theme-sounding song ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’.
Time will tell as to who the singer eventually ends up being. But my money? It’s on Conchita Wurst. There’s nobody better.
‘Spectre‘ will be released on November 6th, 2015.
