Days with My Stepsister unveils trailer, OP and ED – anime looks so sweet

In a recent update for anime fans, the highly anticipated romance series Days with My Stepsister (aka Gimai Seikatsu) has released a new trailer, giving viewers a deeper look into the story and characters.

The just-released Days with my Stepsister trailer provides a bit more of a glimpse of the series’ main characters, Yuta Asamura and his stepsister Saki Ayase, as we see their single parents explaining they will be getting married followed by the pair suddenly being forced to live together.

Yes, that is the plot of the anime as high school student Yuta finds himself with a new stepsister after his father remarries.

The trailer also features the main supporting cast, including Yuki Nakashima as Saki Ayase, Kohei Amasaki who is voicing Yuta Asamura, Minori Suzuki as Shiori Yomiuri, Ayu Suzuki as Maaya Narasaka, and Daiki Hamano who is playing Tomokazu Maru.

Alongside the trailer release, snippets of the opening and ending theme songs for the anime were also included in that trailer.

The opening song, “Tenshitachi no Uta,” will be performed by fhána, while the ending song, “Suisou no Buranko,” is being sung by Kitri.

Unlike most anime these days, Days with My Stepsister is not based on a manga, but instead is part of a wider project that started as a YouTube video series with voiced illustrations.

A light novel adaptation by Ghost Mikawa and Hiten was then released later.

That novel adaptation is currently being published in English by Yen Press.

The anime adaptation is produced by Studio DEEN, with Tsutomu Ueno (assistant director of Sasaki and Miyano) as director, Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) as series composer, and Manabu Nii (Akiba Maid War) as character designer.

Studio Deen, who created the smash-hit anime series Sasaki and Miyano, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Junjou Romantica and KONOSUBA, among many others, is in charge of anime production.

If the really lovely looking trailer is anything to go by, it appears Days with My Stepsister promises an engaging and heartfelt story about family, as it looks at what happens when a formerly uncomfortable and quite complicated relationship starts to turn into love.

Yep, sign me up, as this one looks super, super sweet.
