Absolutely one of the best anime this year has been the fantasy anime series Delicious in Dungeon, which ended its first season yesterday.
A series that immediately had its second season confirmed right as the first season ended.
That announcement was pseudo-made with a message at the end of Delicious in Dungeon, Episode 24 last night that said “To Be Continued…”, followed by an official announcement of Delicious in Dungeon, Season 2 on the anime’s X account right after.
That Delicious in Dungeon, Season 2 confirmation also came with a new key visual featuring all the anime’s main characters (see below), and a teaser trailer, along with the message:
‘Dungeon Meshi’ is eat or be eaten, there is no superior or inferior, food is a privilege of the living. Dungeon food Ah, dungeon food…
Meanwhile, the new Delicious in Dungeon, Season 2 trailer (watch below) gives us a flashback to some of the amazing food we have seen our favorite five adventurers eat.
That is then followed by a flash forward to when they finally meet the Lunatic Magician (ie: Thistle) in the upcoming second season.
A crazy elf who we see tell them “If you want to kill and eat dragons that badly, I’ll give you plenty of them”, as we see our adventurers about to be set upon by a horde of dragons.
Delicious in Dungeon, Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date, nor has any other information been revealed about its production or release.
