British singer Dua Lipa is one of the singers featured on the BBC’s The Sound Of 2016 list and, let’s face it, if you have ever seen her sing before you will not even need to guess why. She’s incredible.
As part of being on the list, the BBC also taped Dua Lipa singing her new single ‘Be The One‘ and, like every performance I’ve seen her give so far, she rocked it.
As for the BBC’s The Sound of 2016 list, if you haven’t heard of it before, it’s a pretty big deal. It is a list of up and coming artists the BBC puts together every year from votes given by 144 DJs and pundits. Artists they feel should be taken notice of, as they believe they are going to be enormously successful in the not too distant future.
Other artists chosen for The Sound of 2016 list include J Hus, Nao, Alessia Cara, Billie Marten, Frances, Jack Garratt, and WSTRN.
As for Dua Lipa, she has it all. Her music is catchy and fun. She has a gorgeous voice with a lovely smokiness to it, a vibrant and cool personality and, of course, she already looks like a rock star and she’s beautiful. Which certainly helps.
