One of my favorite indie games of a couple of years ago was the roguelike Dungeons of Dredmor. While it was a game I never did finish, as I simply could not beat the final boss, I still loved the game and played it over and over again. So, when I read on PCGamer last week that a Dungeons of Dredmore Monstrous Megapack Mod had been released, you can bet I was soon rushing over to Gaslamp Games to download it. And, yep, it’s freaking fabulous.
The Dungeons of Dredmor Monstrous Megapack adds a whole slew of extra stuff and brand new awesomeness.
New monsters like the Kobro (icky snake creatures), Skull Golems, Goops (blobs of ectoplasm), and Roamers.
You also get new dungeon rooms (there’s a Pac Man room complete with Goops and a Minecraft inspired Mine Cart room), four more mini bosses, new fountains and statues and even some wizard pubs.
With tons and tons of new items to find and artifacts to use, not only does the Dungeons of Dredmor Monstrous Megapack add hours of enjoyment to the original game, it will also make that game even more replayable than it already is.
Honestly, I think it’s one of the best game mods I’ve seen all year, and highly recommend a download of it.
