Ed Sheeran won the award for Best British Male Solo Artist and Best British Album at the Brit Awards 2015 last night, and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
Sheeran was up againstĀ Damon Albarn, George Ezra, Paolo Nutini and Sam Smith for the Best British Male award, but pipped them to the post easily.
In the Best British Album category, Sheeran’s album ‘X‘ beat outĀ Alt-J with ‘This Is All Yours‘, George Ezra’s ‘Wanted On Voyage‘, Royal Blood’s ‘Royal Blood‘, and Sam Smith and ‘In The Lonely Hour‘.
I’m betting Sheeran was particularly thrilled to win over Smith, as his was the album expected to prevail last night.
