Gorgeous British actress Emilia Clarke is on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter this week and, in the interview that comes with it, she talks about what her most embarrassing Game of Thrones moment was, as well as why she turned down Fifty Shades of Grey.
Emilia said she’s already done nudity in a movie before and so didn’t want to go into doing another one with Fifty Shades of Grey and then be labeled for that.
Clarke, however, is thrilled that she accepted the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the hugely successful TV series Game of Thrones now in its fifth season.
“Never in a million years did I think Game of Thrones was going to take off like it did,” said Clarke, and then goes onto say she’s still adjusting to it five years later.
I’d say she’s probably adjusting to the massive salary she’s going to be making by the time Game of Thrones hits its seventh season as well. How much? A reported $7 million a season. Not bad for a girl who, when she began filming Game of Thrones, had only been out of Drama Centre London for just over a year.

There’s also a lovely interview video The Hollywood Reporter shot with Clarke. In it, she talks about her most embarrassing Game of Thrones moment, which involved the first day of shooting and a horse, what it’s like working on the TV series and her role in the latest Terminator film.
