Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Steve Martin, Mark O’Connor and Amos Lee sing gospel classic on Letterman
Comedian and actor Steve Martin was on Late Show with David Letterman on Friday night where, not only did he sit down for a long chat with Dave, he also brought in his friends Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell,Mark O’Connor and Amos Lee to sing.
The four sang the gospel classic “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” in a beautiful performance.
And it surprises me that so many people still don’t know Steve Martin plays a mean banjo, because he does as you’ll see here.
In fact, not only has Martin been playing banjo since he was 17 years old, he also created the annual Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass to encourage other banjo players to perform at their best.
Watch Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Steve Martin, Mark O’Connor and Amos Lee performing ‘Will The Circle Be Unbroken‘ on The Late Show with David Letterman below.
The song is from Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell’s upcoming album ‘The Traveling Kind‘ releasing on May 12th.
