Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Releases on Playstation Vita: Will It Suck Less?

Okay, this is weird.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two has just been released in the UK on PlayStation Vita and most people are asking “Why?” After all, it’s a game that was originally released on the Wii U last year, and was an almighty flop in every sense of the word. So to port Epic Mickey 2 to the PlayStation Vita, hardware that also looks like it might not even be around in a year it’s so incredibly not popular and I ask “Will it suck less?”. Highly unlikely. No.

Of course, the inevitable video trailer that comes with a port to new hardware has also been released (watch below). Unfortunately, if you haven’t already played the first Epic Mickey, or Epic Mickey 2 when it was first released  I doubt the video for the second one is likely to compel you to buy Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two on PS Vita as it’s, frankly, a bit bland.

Still, Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit do make a fine team and. this time around, Oswald can be played by a second character, which definitely adds to the fun of the game. There are also some extra abilities that can only be unlocked if the pair are working together (hence ‘The Power of Two’), which is a nice touch.

But, can I honestly recommend Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two on PlayStation Vita? No, I really can’t. After all, the amount of suckage was so incredibly huge on the original version of the game how on earth is a port to different hardware going to make that suckage less?
