Food for the Soul’s Tsutsuji Higa character PV has the husky-voiced uni student playing the clown and the ukulele

Last week, we got a character PV for Food for the Soul‘s Shinon Ogawa, and the week before it was Kurea Furutachi‘s turn. (Update: there is also a PV for Nana Hoshi now as well).

With three more of the wonderful girls of the Food Culture Research Club still to spotlight, though, today it’s teeny tiny, husky-voiced Tsutsuji Higa who has gotten her 51 seconds of fame.

In the Tsutsuji Higa character PV, we get to see the girl who plays the ukulele and loves anything to do with sheep, lounging around the clubhouse, serenading her friends as they enjoy a Mako-cooked meal, and showing off just how much sheep really mean to her.

Come on, she even wanders around wearing a sheep hoodie when the mood strikes.

Throw in her love of energy drinks of all kinds, and it’s no wonder she can dance at the drop of a hat (see the cute short below). Well, until her energy drink fuel wears out, and then comes the big crash.

Tsutsuji Higa, by the way, is fabulously-voiced by Natsune Inui (Jinlin in the equally fabulous anime The Unwanted Undead Adventurer).

Tsutsuji’s character PV was released via the anime’s X account, as well as on Aniplex’s YouTube channel, along with the above short.

Food for the Soul production details

The ongoing anime is based on an original story from prolific mangaka Atto of Non Non Biyori fame.

And, yes, Food for the Soul has the same vibe as that now-iconic series, including its superb sense of humor. Especially as Non Non Biyori director Shinya Kawatsura is directing this too (alongside co-director Tohru Shunsui).

Yoshihiro Hiki (Akiba Maid War) is in charge of series composition, while Hajime Mitsuda (Kiratto Pri☆chan) is both character designer and chief animation director.

P.A. Works (Hanasaku Iroha, Shirobako and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin) is in charge of animation.

The first episode of Food for the Soul hit the airwaves and streaming services on April 12th, with Crunchyroll streaming it internationally.

Enjoy the adorable Tsutsuji Higa character PV below, because as the five girls go, she is easily one of the cutest. Then head to Crunchyroll to watch Episode 5 — the anime’s latest drop.
