For Eagle Brothers Ep 1 grabs higher ratings than predecessor Iron Family

The new KBS2 weekend drama For Eagle Brothers, Episode 1 aired last night to very high ratings.

Ratings that were higher than the first episode of its predecessor Iron Family. A drama that went on to become the #1 most-watched show in South Korea every episode except one.

For Eagle Brothers, Episode 1 kicked off the Korean weekend drama with a strong nationwide rating on Saturday night at an extremely high 15.5 percent.

That readily beat the 14.1 percent Iron Family earned for its first episode on September 28th last year in the same time slot.

The same also occurred in Seoul, where For Eagle Brothers, Episode 1 earned 14.7 percent of the audience share compared to Iron Family‘s first episode rating of 12.6 percent.

In other words, if this continues, it appears For Eagle Brothers may end up being an even bigger hit than Iron Family for KBS2.

We will find out as new episodes are released.

For Eagle Brothers stars the superb ensemble cast of Uhm Ji Won (The Trunk), Ahn Jae Wook (Not Others), Choi Dae Chul (The Real Has Come), Kim Dong Wan (I Hate Going to Work), Yoon Park (Doctor Slump), and Lee Seok Gi (in his first ever K-drama.

And yep, a K-drama featuring this many gorgeous men is very likely to be successful, eh?

Watch the next episode of For Eagle Brothers on KBS2 in South Korea tonight. Outside Korea, Viki is streaming the Korean drama for its international viewers.
