It’s been a bumper night for national selections for Eurovision 2016 with Moldova, Finland, Slovenia, Norway and Hungary having their competitions tonight. And, when Hungary’s A Dal national selection competition was over, it was Freddie who was named the winner with his song ‘Pioneer‘.
Eight acts performed tonight and then the jury voted to send four acts through to the super final. Televoters then chose the winner from these four acts, and Freddie with ‘Pioneer’ ended up as their winner.
Not surprising really, as his song is very catchy, especially with the whistling refrain, and Freddie has an unusual voice and, of course, he’s gorgeous.
The other super final finalists were Gergő Oláh, the Kállay Saunders Band (remember András Kállay-Saunders from Eurovision 2014?) and Petruska.
Watch Freddie’s A Dal performance of ‘Pioneer’ tonight. Don’t know about you, but I really like it, and him, and, I’m guessing, it’s a pretty easy entry for Hungary into the Eurovision 2016 final.
