Gachiakuta’s Riyo Reaper character visual and mini trailer out intro-ing the former hitgirl

The next in a series of Gachiakuta character visuals has been released today, just a couple of months before the long-awaited anime series hits in July, and soon after those for Rudo, Enjin, and Zanka came out.

This time, it is a Riyo Reaper character visual, which came out via the official Gachiakuta X account, and has the red-headed former hitgirl holding her ‘Ripper’ scissors.

Those scissors, of course, become as long as her legs when she activates them, and can do some serious damage to any Trash Beast she comes across.

Along with the visual, the account commented about Riyo Reaper:

If the opponent is strong, it gets exciting.

A Giver who combines clarity with rationality in battle and freely controls the human device “The Ripper” with his feet.

A short teaser trailer, basically just an animated Riyo visual was also released on the Gachiakuta YouTube channel.

Japanese voice actress Yumiri Hanamori (Nadeshiko in Yuru Camp) is playing Riyo Reaper.

Production details for the long-awaited Gachiakuta anime adaptation

The upcoming Summer, 2025 anime is one of the most-anticipated this year, as it is based on the hit manga series (ガチアクタ) written and illustrated by Kei Urana.

It is being directed by Fumihiko Suganuma (episode director The First Slam Dunk), with Hiroshi Seko (Dan Dan Dan) in charge of series composition, and Satoshi Ishino (Tokyo Mew Mew) both designing the characters, and serving as chief animation director.

Animation studio Bones Film (My Hero Academia: Vigilantes) is animating.

As for the Gachiakuta plot, it looks like this:

Rudo lives in a slum where the descendants of criminals are gathered, picking up trash despite facing discrimination. But one day, he is framed for a crime he did not commit and thrown into the feared “abyss.”

In the abyss, Rudo meets Enjin, a “cleaner,” and gets a glimpse of the truth of the world, where he manifests the ability to give life to objects and draw out their power. All for the sake of changing this “shitty world”!!

No matter how strong the world is, Rudo will never let others determine his value. His enemies are “common sense,” “power,” and “discrimination and prejudice.”

Gachiakuta will premiere in July, 2025, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime internationally.
